In a world where everything is a trend, Paulette Smith is the one constant. From her love of the healthcare profession to her compassionate, curious nature, which is her driving force, she remains steadfast in her abilities and passion for the selfless practice of nursing and taking care of others. Strong communication skills, keen intellect, and empathy have been her assets spanning an over two-decade career as a Nurse. Upon completion of her second degree at the Helene Fuld College of Nursing & Capella University, where she graduated with honors, Paulette began her career as a young staff Registered Nurse working with acute psychiatric patients. Her responsibilities included the provision of clinic care and coordinating nursing services. In that capacity, she began mentoring, supervising, and creating treatment plans for patient care, along with her usual nursing duties. Specializing in dialysis for the past 22 years, she formulates strategies based on best practices to elevate the Workmen’s Circle Dialysis Center in order to ensure that doctrine is formulated and applied. Be assured that she works unceasingly with zeal and aplomb. As a manager and an RN, Paulette Smith brings empathy, an easygoing communication style, and a sweet sense of humor, making it easy for her to talk to staff, colleagues, patients, and family members. Paulette has also been hugely successful in preparing for and leading accreditation site visits; as well as obtaining accreditation for several of the organizations where she was employed. Staff training, developing new curriculums, and constantly keeping abreast of medical trends and research to ensure best practices are what is needed for the future of healthcare – and it is all in a day’s work for Paulette.
Paulette’s motto: TO WORK IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT PROVIDES EXCELLENT CARE AND INCORPORATES CULTURAL AND SOCIOECONOMIC ISSUES AS ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS OF HEALTH; FOCUSING ON ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES IN ATTAINING, RE-ATTAINING AND MAINTAINING OPTIMAL HEALTH
